2017 Adventures & Misadventures
Cuba
We were in Cuba for 12 days from June 27 through July 8. We started in Havana, moved on to ViƱales, and finished in Varadero before returning to Havana. Check out the series called “Go to Cuba!”
Iceland
We were in Iceland for 13 days from July 9 through July 21. We completed the famous ring road with several side trips, notably through the Western Fjords.
Ireland
We were in Ireland for 5 days from July 21 through July 25, and for 10 more days from August 7 through August 16. In between we hightailed it over to Scotland to visit with one of my oldest friends, Tammy, before her vacation to France. Photos and stories are forthcoming.
Scotland
We visited Scotland from July 26th through August 7. We travelled as far north as the Isle of Skye in the remote Highlands, and also stayed in Livingston near the capital of Edinburgh. Photos and stories are forthcoming as well.
Israel
We were in Israel for 18 days at the end of August.

I’m trying to find a route to South America that will take us through South Africa. Wish me luck because I will most certainly need it.
